COMMENTS: Frank died after being knocked off a railroad car at the Altair bridge while on duty as a railroad conductor. He joined the Union Army in Wisconsin, was sent to Mississippi. At one time his service records mentioned that he was on a spying mission. I like to think that he was sent south to spy, liked was he saw and stayed.
