OAK GROVE NEWS
School Has Ended, But the Memory Lingers On---
Oak Grove closed its school doors for the last time last Friday down here, and it is with a deep regret, not only with the folks that live here, but all of those that were ever connected with our school, that it is now a thing of the past, after at least 75 years of school here, in this community, and now all we have left is the memories of the past. And they are all very pleasant, for we had a school we were proud of, and it saddens us beyond words. But the good that has been done in our school has not passed away; and the seed that were planted there will continue to grow in the lives of those who were taught in this school, and their influence will pass on through the lives of those who were taught in this school, and their influence will pass on thru the lives of others, for years to come.
