Oakland News Notes

Mesdames I. A. Strunk, J. A. Pierce, W. C. Bouldin, Misses Lula Albert, Byrtha Harris, Lydia and Hallie Bock, Pearl Pierce, Vallie Strunk, Messrs. Willis Van Wagner, Forrest Hutchins, W. C. Bouldin, Morritz Strunk and Gordon Burke attended the concert at County Line last Wednesday eve, it being at the close of school. The evening seemed to be highly enjoyed by all, as the entertainment proved to be quite a success. The recitations by the little ones, the dialogues and tableaux by the older ones, were all nicely delivered, and the music by the violinists was very pretty and appropriate. Miss Syphrett, teacher in charge, and the young people of County Line deserve much credit and praise for their pains and trouble in making the evening a pleasant and profitable one to all present.
